Shipping rates for boxed and crated items
Shipping rates can vary based on any or all of the following: weight, number of items, type of items, transport distance, type of vehicle used, pickup location, delivery location, transit time, additional services such as inside pickup or delivery, and even the day of the week that pickup or delivery is made.
Shipping rates begin at about $200 for a shipment that weighs up to 150 lbs. and is going more than 100 miles. The shipping rate increases depending on weight and distance. The shipping price for a 150-lb. shipment going cross-country will be a higher shipping price than a 150-lb. shipment going only 100 miles. The shipping costs for a 200-lb. shipment will be higher than the shipping costs of a 150-lb. shipment.
Moving rates for long-distance small moves
Moving rates for TSI's long-distance small move service are based on the total weight of the items being moved. The moving prices start at about $300 and the moving price increases as weight and distance increase. TSI's small move service is the most economical way to handle a small move, usually 1-10 items and less than 1000 lbs. We handle your items the same way Fedex handles packages. Your items are picked up and taken to a central location before being sent out to their destination on another truck. The process requires up to four weeks, but the moving costs are usually in the hundreds and not the thousands of dollars a full-load mover would charge.
Long-distance small move service is ideal and cost effective for a long-distance move of living room furniture, a dining room set, a bedroom suite, or any large household items.
Moving rates for local moves local moves
Local move pricing is based on hourly moving rates, and the moving rate varies depending on how many men are needed. Therefore, the total moving cost is based on the size of your crew and how long it takes. A portion of the total moving cost is required upfront to reserve the truck, crew, date and time.
For example, the moving price for a minimum-size local move with two men costs $375. We may recommend additional men for larger moves, which will increase the hourly moving rate. But your move will go faster. We will discuss the size and type of your move with you and provide an exact hourly moving rate and estimated total moving cost for the move. There is never a fuel surcharge or additional moving charges for things like hand trucks, liftgates, moving blankets etc. TSI movers are experienced, licensed and bonded.
